What time does the Reception desk OPEN/CLOSE?
The Reception desk is open 24 hours.
What DOCUMENTS will be required upon arrival?
Hotel guests must present a valid identification document (national ID card/passport) on arrival and, for any children less than 2 years old, their birth certificate.
In the case of reservations at non-refundable rate, the credit card used must also be presented.
Print out of the reservation is not needed.
Is there any AGE RESTRICTION for checking-in at the hotel?
Hotel guests must be at least 18 years old at the time of check-in at the hotel. Minors (i.e. of age less than 18) are welcome if they are accompanied by an adult relative. Alternatively, children can be accommodated if written parental consent is provided prior to arrival. Contact your local authorities for further information.
What are the standard times for CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT?
Hotel guests may check-in after 14:00 h and check-out before 12:00 h.
However, if you arrive earlier, you may leave your luggage in our storage room at Reception, until your room is ready.
Is it possible to CHECK-OUT LATER than 12:00? Are additional fees applicable?
Late check-out check-in is subject to room availability and cannot be guaranteed.
If you have any special preferences, please notify the hotel as early as possible.
Additional fees will be incurred, depending on the duration of the service:
- Up to 5 additional hours: 50% of the room rate per night will be applied.
- For any other occasions exceeding 5 hours 100 percent of the room rate per night would be applied.

Is it possible to CHECK-IN EARLIER than 14:00? Are additional fees applicable?
Early check-in is subject to room availability and cannot be guaranteed.
If you have any special preferences, please notify the hotel as early as possible.

- Up to 6 additional hours: 50% of the room rate per night will be applied.
- For any other occasions exceeding 6 hours 100 percent of the room rate per night would be applied.

Will it be guaranteed that the room I have booked will have the BED TYPE, VIEW OR PLACEMENT I have requested?
We always take note of our guests’ preferences and we do our best to answer their expectations. Unfortunately, we cannot always guarantee all requests since this depends on room type, availability and already confirmed similar requests.
For the most important preferences we usually contact the guest by email for further clarifications.
It is important to note that our top floors feature only suites. If you prefer a panoramic VIEW towards the city and Vitosha mountain, your best option would be to book any of the Executive suites, which all have spacious terraces.
Have in mind that in spite of differences between room types all rooms are equally comfortable.
Can I CHANGE MY ROOM TYPE upon check in?
As long as there are available rooms of your preferred type, this can be arranged after paying for the difference in price.
LOCATION AND GETTING TO THE HOTEL
Where is the hotel SITUATED?
The hotel is situated in the centre of Sofia, next to Lion’s Bridge (Lavov most) square, Lion’s Bridge underground station and Central Bus and Railway stations. The convenient location is easyly accessible from Sofia Airport, which is 11 km away.
How to reach the hotel FROM CENTRAL BUS/RAILWAY STATION?
The hotel is situated within walking distance from Central Bus/Railway station. However, hotel guests can reach the hotel by car or on foot.
- On foot:
- When leaving the station, continue along Maria Luiza Blvd., towards Lion’s Bridge (Lavov most). Within 500 meters at the traffic lights turn right on Kozloduy Str. Go straight and after 100 meters turn right on Knyaz Boris I Str. The hotel will be on your left side.
- When leaving the station, continue along Maria Luiza Blvd., towards Lion’s Bridge (Lavov most). Within 400 meters turn right on Klokotnitza Str. (along Ramada Hotel), go straight and turn left on Knyaz Boris I Str. the hotel will be on your left side after less than 100 meters.
- By car:
- When leaving the station, continue along Maria Luiza Blvd., towards Lion’s Bridge (Lavov most). Within 600 meters at the traffic lights turn right on Kozloduy Str. Go straight and after 100 meters turn right on Knyaz Boris I Str. The hotel will be on your left side.
- When leaving the station, continue along Hristo Botev Blvd. and after 400 m turn left on Kozloduy Str. Go straight 300 m and turn left on Knyaz Boris I Str. The hotel will be on your left side.
How to reach the hotel FROM SOFIA AIRPORT?
Hotel guests could reach the hotel from Sofia Airport by taxi, the transfer service available from the hotel upon request or by using public transport.

How can I make use of the hotel’s TRANSFER SERVICE from/to Sofia Airport?
Contact us as early as possible to arrange a transfer from/to Sofia Airport, indicating your flight number, terminal number, arrival time, number of passengers.
The following prices per vehicle apply:
- for up to 3 people – 20 euro;
- for up to 8 people – 30 euro;
- for up to 18 people – 50 euro.
Please, be aware that we cannot guarantee a transfer requested too late and on 31st December and 1st January.
How can I arrange a TAXI at Sofia Airport?
Taxi service stands are available at the airport. Approximate fares that most taxi service companies apply are 0.79 leva/km daytime (06:00 – 22:00 h) and 0.90 BGN/km nighttime (22:00 – 06:00 h).
What is the most convenient way to get from Sofia Airport to the hotel using PUBLIC TRANSPORT?
The most convenient way is to take the underground from Sofia Airport underground station, situated next to Terminal 2. This is Line 1 (red) of Sofia underground network. You board the train to Serdika underground station where you switch to Line 2 (blue) and take the train to the next station - Lion’s Bridge (Lavov most) station in the Obelya direction. After reaching Lion’s Bridge station and leaving the train, you exit the underground station towards the Central Bus Station. It is advisable to use the exit on the right side after crossing the automatic rotating gates. You can then follow the street signboards to reach the hotel within 5 minutes. The train ride takes about 45 min. For any assistance, please contact us.
HOW FAR is the nearest UNDERGROUND station? How can I purchase TICKETS and at what rate are they sold?
Hotel Favorit is situated between two underground stations and Lion’s Bridge metro station is within less than 5 minutes from the hotel, alternatively Central Railway metro station is 7-8 min. on foot.
A single ticket costs 1.60 leva, regardless of the distance travelled and can be bought at ticket machines near the entrances of the underground stations or at the cashier's desk. Day travelcards at the price of 4 leva allow you to travel as much as you like for a single day.
Please, be aware that for any piece of luggage, regardless of its type – hand, trolley, etc., exceeding 60/40/40 cm dimensions an additional ticket has to be bought.
HOW FAR is the nearest BUS stop, TRAM stop, TROLLEY stop? What are the rates? Where to buy TICKETS?
Around Lion’s Bridge /Lavov most/ are many stops of public transport. For more information about public transport, visit https://www.sofiatraffic.bg/en/common/ or contact us.
A single ticket costs 1.60 leva, regardless of distance travelled and can be bought at ticket machines, at kiosks and at some (unfortunately, not in all) buses by requesting the driver of the vehicle. Day travelcards at the price of 4 leva allow you to travel as much as you like for a single day.

Tickets must be perforated on entering the vehicle, so that to be valid (with the exception of those for the underground).
What are the PRICE RATES per night?
The room rates are not fixed and vary depending on the time period, room availability, room type and terms of stay.
Therefore we cannot provide you with a general price overview. However, by using our direct reservation form not only will you get up-to-date prices for the period of stay and preferred room type but you will also take advantage of our best available rates.
The sooner you book, the better the price will be.

All prices are on a per-room basis.
By booking directly you would benefit from our lowest prices, a 10% welcome discount at our restaurant for the first night of the stay, free use of swimming pool, thermal area and fitness at Victoria SPA (150 m) and a complimentary early check-in from 12:00h or late check-out until 14:00h (both being subject to room availability).
What is INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
All prices include 9% VAT and tourist tax. There are no hidden charges.
Breakfast is included in all rates with the exception of some special offers.

What is THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN different RATES offered?
Booking can be made at either “Non refundable” or “Standard” rate. In general, it comes to guaranteeing the stay either by prepaying the whole stay or by pre-authorising the amount for first night. For further information, please consult our BOOKING GUARANTEE, PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY.
Note that a CREDIT CARD is necessary to complete the process.
Are there any DISCOUNTS FOR CHILDREN?
Children under the age of 6.99 can stay free of charge when sharing their parents’ room. Cribs/baby cots will be provided for children up to 2 years old.
Children at the age of 7 years old or more are charged at the normal rate for adults.
Do special rates apply to LARGER GROUPS of people?
To book more than 4 rooms, please contact our Sales Department for information.
BOOKING GUARANTEE, PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY
What are the options for GUARANTEEING A RESERVATION?
You can choose between 2 rates:
- NON REFUNDABLE RATE – paid fully in advance with no option for cancellation;
- STANDARD RATE – full payment at check-in and free cancellation up to 24h before the arrival date.
NON REFUNDABLE RATE is where you have fully paid for the hotel in advance. Your credit card will be charged for the full amount on the day the reservation is received, and there is nothing more to pay other than incidents (minibar, room service, etc).
In case of cancellation, amendment or No show, this amount is non refundable (fully or partially).
* If the credit card is invalid or there are insufficient credit funds, the reservation will be considered as non-guaranteed and will be dismissed without prior notice.
STANDARD RATE is where you pay the whole amount upon check-in and only provide your credit card details to guarantee the booking. You can modify or cancel your booking free of charge up to 1 day prior to the date of arrival.
When you have opted for the standard rate, we will only block the amount for the first night of the stay 30 days before the accommodation date. This means that we will not charge in advance your credit card except in case of No show or late cancellation. Upon your arrival at the hotel this amount will be unblocked and you will be able to choose how to pay in full for your hotel stay: in cash or by card.
If you cancel your booking more than 24 hours before the check-in date, we will release the authorization on the same day.
Note that it usually takes up to a few working days to clear the pre-authorization in your bank account.
* If you modify the stay dates, the number of guests or the room type, there could be a difference from the initial price.
* In case of invalid credit card or insufficient funds, the reservation will not be considered as guaranteed and will be dismissed without prior notice.
Can I make a BOOKING ON BEHALF OF ANOTHER PERSON but pay it with my own credit card?
We accept such bookings under certain conditions.
When the cardholder’s name is different from guest’s name presented in the reservation, for security reasons our bank requires permission from the cardholder to charge their credit card for the purposes of prepaying another person’s hotel stay.
The details that need to be filled in by the cardholder in the official authorisation form are as follows:
- credit card details – if we have already received your credit card number via secured connection, for example via our reservation form, you could write down the last 4 digits only.
- the amount to be charged;
- name of the guest that will stay at our hotel;
- full name and signature of the cardholder.
As an additional security measure it is also necessary to send us scans of both sides of the credit card and ID of the cardholder. All of these documents will be used only for the purposes of the reservation.
Please, let us know beforehand if the card owner will be one of the guests. In this case you would be required to show us the credit card in question and fill in the authorization form and verify the payment with your signature upon arrival at the hotel.
As soon as we receive the necessary papers, we will be able to charge/authorise the card and guarantee your reservation.
Otherwise, in case such permission is not provided within the 24-hour period after receiving the reservation, we would have to cancel your booking.
Can you issue a COMPANY INVOICE for my hotel stay?
According to Bulgarian law we are required to issue an invoice within 5 days after a transaction. If no company details have been provided and the accommodation is outside this time window, the invoice will be issued to the cardholder’s name.
Reissuing the invoice in question could take some time. This can be easily avoided if you send us the company's details in advance.
Why do I have to USE A CREDIT CARD when booking via your webpage?
DEBIT CARDS usually cannot be charged via distant purchase, thus cannot be used to guarantee the reservation.
For this reason the use of a valid CREDIT CARD is required to guarantee the booking. You will be requested to show the credit card in question upon arrival.
Is it SAFE TO SUBMIT MY CREDIT CARD details via your online reservation form?
We use a secure connection and SSL protocol for our online reservation form which allows you to safely submit all personal information required. Should you, however, have any doubts, do not hesitate to contact us for alternatives.
What TYPES OF CREDIT CARDS does the hotel accept for prepayment?
The following cards currently accepted are: Visa, MasterCard, JSB, American Express, V-pay, Yes, Donna, Transcard.
DEBIT CARDS of any kind could not be charged via distant purchase but can be used for on site payments.
My travel plans have changed, how can i MODIFY / CANCEL my reservation?
Different terms for cancellation and modification apply according to the rate guaranteeing your booking.
- When picking STANDARD RATE: If you want to cancel your booking you can write to us up to 24h. before the accommodation date and the cancellation will be free and we will unblock the preauthorized amount the same day. For late cancellations, modifications or no-show the preauthorized amount (the price for the first night of the stay) will not be refunded.
- With the NON REFUNDABLE RATE the amount we have charged for the full stay will not be refunded in case of modification or cancellation.
Can I make a BOOKING WITHOUT A CREDIT CARD?
Unfortunately, we cannot confirm reservations without valid credit card. All non guaranteed reservations are cancelled without prior notice.
It is possible to use another person’s credit card or make a bank transfer in some cases.

What is the MAXIMUM NUMBER OF GUESTS that may occupy a room?
All rooms can accommodate 2 persons.
This depends largely on the room type – e. g. some standard and all rooms Favorit /deluxe/ allow up to three guests. We can accommodate four guests in a suite only.
There is a surcharge of 15 EUR for the extra person.
What EXTRA BEDS are in use for guests exceeding the number of regular beds in a room?
Guests accommodated over the standard occupancy can use an extendable arm-chair (in standard & deluxe rooms) or an extendable sofa (in all suites). Please, make sure we are notified of your personal situation as early as possible so that we are able to arrange everything for you. We cannot guarantee availability if a request is made too late.
Is SMOKING allowed?
Smoking is PROHIBITED on the inner hotel premises. This rule also applies to e-cigarettes, vapers /vape liquids and hookahs.
The hotel keeps its right to refuse future bookings or accommodation of guests violating this rule even if they have already made a non refundable reservation or in case there is a corporate agreement.
In accordance with article 218, paragraph 1 from the Healthcare Law, breaking the smoking prohibition for indoor public spaces is further sanctioned with a fine of 300 to 1000 BGN.
The credit card of guests who disregard or breach our no-smoking policy within the room will be charged, without any exceptions, a fine of 100 BGN.
Any further damage to the room caused by smoking will be treated as damage to hotel property.
* It is possible to smoke only on the balconies, which most of our rooms have.
How about PETS?
With the exception of assistance dogs, no pets are allowed.
DAMAGE to Hotel Property
We reserve the right to charge guests with the triple cost of rectifying any damage, caused by the accidental, deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the hotel’s property or structure. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit / debit card with the triple cost of the caused damage.
REMOVAL of Hotel Property
We reserve the right to charge guests with the triple cost of the missing items from the premises that are removed by them without consent. Should the fact that the item is missing come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit/debit card.
Return of KEY CARD and/or ROOM KEYS
Should a guest lose or damage room keys or keycards there will be a 15.00 BGN charge. Failure to return keys to Reception on departure could also incur the same charge.
MINI BAR rules
Items consumed from the mini bar are paid for upon checking out of the hotel after the chambermaid on duty has checked the room.
There is an additional charge of 10 euro per night for any additional visitor in a room, regardless of the length of the person’s stay.
If the Hotel is unable to provide accommodation to customers who have made a confirmed reservation, the hotel provides an alternative accommodation in another hotel in Sofia of the same category and assumes the transport to the alternative hotel.
Right to ASK THE GUEST TO LEAVE - Inappropriate Behaviour
What is the DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ROOM TYPES?
Three types of rooms are offered:
- STANDARD ROOM with double bed or with twin beds;
- DELUXE ROOM with king-size bed;
- SUITES: Executive with double bed and panoramic terrace and Comfort with twin beds and balcony.
Rooms of different type differ mainly in size, additional amenities and type of beds. Apart from that, a room may face East or West, it may be equipped with a bathtub. Finally, all rooms except for a few Standard rooms with twin beds have a balcony or terrace. Please visit our Rooms section for detailed information.
What are the rooms SUPPLIED with?
All hotel rooms are supplied with air conditioning, a LCD TV set, a small table, a telephone, a mini bar and a hair dryer. Bath towels, body soap and shampoo are available in the bathroom.
All Rooms Favorit and suites are further supplied with the following complimentary amenities:
- bath robes
- electric kettle
- tea and coffee
- bath salts (without Harmony suite)
- shower cap and cotton buds
- shoe sponge
- clothes brush
What type of INTERNET access does the hotel offer?
Free high-speed Wi-Fi access is available EVERYWHERE in the hotel. The current password will be written on your hotel’s passport.
Free cable internet is also available in the rooms. You could ask at Reception to be provided with a cable.
Does the hotel offer INTERNATIONAL TV channels?
Over 100 channels in the most popular languages are available via cable TV.
Does the hotel offer a STORAGE FACILITY?
Yes, luggage can be left free of charge at the storage facility next to the Reception desk. Ask our staff for information and assistance.
The hotel cannot be held resposible for unclaimed luggage after 2 months from the check-out date.
Does the hotel offer SAFE DEPOSIT BOXES?
Free safe deposit boxes at the Reception desk are at the disposal of hotel guests.
Do you offer LAUNDRY and IRONING SERVICES?
An up-to-date price list with a time schedule can be found in the information folder in the room.
Does the hotel offer in-room IRONING AMENITIES?
Hotel guests may borrow ironing amenities by addressing their request to the Reception’s staff.
Does the hotel offer any BUSINESS SERVICES?
There is a computer on the ground floor. In addition, we also have a fax machine, with copier, scanner and printer at the Reception desk.
How often is CLEANING of the rooms done?
Maid service is available every day.
Does the hotel offer any PARKING facilities? If not, where should I leave my vehicle?
The hotel does not offer parking facilities for cars. However, bycicles and/or motorcycles could park for free.
Guests of the hotel can park their cars in the area of the hotel, which is a paid parking zone that costs 1 BGN per hour. Parking tickets are available at the Reception desk. Alternatively, you can send a text message to 1303 with your license plate number. Please, be aware that the SMS service is applicable only to Bulgarian mobile operators.
There is a secure parking lot near the hotel and guests can benefit from a preferential price.

Is there a LIFT in the hotel?
All floors are accessible by lift.
Does the hotel offer ACCESSIBLE ROOMS for people with disabilities?
The hotel does not offer specially equipped rooms for guests with disabilities. However, the ground level and all common areas are accessible by wheelchair. There is a wheelchair available which could fit in the lift to all floors.
Is it possible to have SPECIAL AMENITIES (i.e. fruit basket, champagne, flowers, etc.), sent to the room?
There are plenty of choices for extra amenities such as fruit basket, flowers, surprise in room. Please, contact us, so to make a personal offer.
RESTAURANT / DINING
What time does the RESTAURANT OPEN/CLOSE?
The restaurant is open 07:30 – 23:30 (every day). Food is served 11:00 – 22:30 h and the bar is open until 23:30 h.
When does BREAKFAST START AND END?
Breakfast is served daily from 07:30 – 10:00 h.
What KIND OF BREAKFAST is served?
We usually offer a buffet with a selection of seasonal fruits, a variety of cheese, Bulgarian yoghurt, cold meats, eggs and sliced vegetables, cereals, and baked bacon and sausages.
Homemade bread rolls, pancakes, muffins, cocoa cream and apple pie are also available.
At the guest's disposal are a few juices. Different kinds of tea and rich aroma espresso will be prepared upon request (at the bar).
Does the restaurant offer ROOM SERVICE?
Room service is available 10:00 – 23:30 h. Please, be aware that the kitchen closes at 23:00 h and last orders are taken no later than 22:30 h. Beverages could be ordered and served in the room until 23:30 h.
What kinds of FOOD AND BEVERAGE does the restaurant offer?
Does the restaurant offer HALF OR FULL BOARD supplement?
Generally, we offer B&B only, although HB is sometimes available. Contact us for further information.
Does the restaurant offer alternatives for PEOPLE WITH DIETARY OR OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS?
Guests with special dietary regimes or allergies are advised to notify our staff, who would then advise them regarding the alternative options.
What is required to BOOK A TABLE AT THE RESTAURANT?
Table/s at the restaurant can be booked by phone (+359 2 803 50 35, +359 885 79 78 24 or dialing 555 on any internal phone) or by e-mail (email@example.com), or by contacting our staff.
Can you PUT MY RESTAURANT BILL on my room?
If you want to transfer your bills from the restaurant to your room’s bill you must have previously guaranteed your payments by credit card at the Reception.
I HAVEN’T PAID FOR BREAKFAST/I am NOT A GUEST of the hotel. Can I still eat in?
Everyone is welcome to enjoy our breakfast. The surcharge is 5 EUR/person.
Does the restaurant offer HIGHCHAIRS for children?
The staff at restaurant Favorit is able to provide a highchair when necessary.
I have LOST MY hotel BILL. How can I receive a copy?
Please, contact us to send you a copy of your invoice.
What should I do in case I HAVE LEFT SOMETHING behind in the hotel?
If we find any lost property, we will make every reasonable effort to locate the owner and return it, but if we cannot locate the owner and an item is not reclaimed within 2 months of the guest’s departure it will be disposed of by the hotel.
How can I give FEEDBACK for my stay?

Is the tap WATER safe to drink?
Tap water in Sofia is generally safe and drinkable. Bottled mineral water is available everywhere at a very affordable price.
Does the hotel offer MEDICAL CARE?
In case of illness or injury, please immediately turn to our staff for assistance with reaching the nearest hospital or medical facility.

What VOLTAGE is used in Bulgaria?
The electricity in Bulgaria is supplied at 220/240 volts (V). Some electrical appliances of travelers would require a converter or an adapter in order to operate properly.
Electrical sockets are accordingly the European standard electrical socket types: Europlug and Schuko.
Where can I EXCHANGE MONEY?
The currency in Bulgaria is Bulgarian lev (BGN). One lev is equal to 100 stotinki.
The lev is pegged to the Euro, at a fixed official rate of 1 EUR = 1.95583 BGN.
There are banks and currency exchange offices near the hotel (along Maria Luiza Blvd.). Banks are usually open from 08:30-9:00 to 17:00 h. from Monday to Friday.

What are the LOCAL TOURIST ATTRACTIONS?
Are there SHOPPING CENTRES nearby?
The main pedestrian street - Vitosha Blvd. (reachable on foot or 1 / 2 metro stops) has plenty of shops and restaurants.
Women’s Market (Zhenski pazar) and Halite are situated nearby and offer a wide range of seasonal fruits and vegetables, cheese, cured meats, dried fruit and nuts, sweets and pastries.
Mall of Sofia is located within 15 to 20 minutes from the hotel on foot or at about 10 minutes by taxi/car.
You can reach Paradise Mall directly with the blue metro line, and Serdika Center Mall by car/taxi in 10-20 minutes depending on traffic.
